THE INTERMEDIATE FLIGHT

The Intermediate flight draw has also been made.
There are a 78 players competing in it.
We have two British flag flying in this flight - one we know, one we don't.


George Miltiadou is the player we know.
As previously mentioned this is George's second Nordic Open and he's off to a flying start having been drawn against bye. His first match will be against Ulla Hellsten of Denmark. According to our sources it's scheduled to be a 13 point match and we presume it is to be played on Saturday.
 

The other Brit is Marilyn Roberts. I've never heard of this person before but have turned up that she played in the Monte Carlo 2007 Beginner Flight. By attending the Nordic Open 2008 and promoting to the Intermediate flight the Lady is at least showing signs of courage. Good luck to you. Marilyn plays against Sven Henneberger of Germany in Round 1.
