26 Entries, 4 Tournaments, 23 Players, £350 Prize Fund,
Andreas Giannopoulos wins Jackpot.

Liz, Andreas Giannopoulos and bump

And so to our 2nd event in our wonderful new venue in The Durell Arms, Fulham. Only the turnout was slightly disappointing. So why so? A good number of Bg in London players had played in the Scope Charity Tournament the previous day so were probably suffering from backgammon overload and I was so tired after that event I only remembered that I had not sent out a reminder about this event after I had fallen into bed on the Sunday evening. My blunder.

However those that came along had a lovely little evening of play. Well mostly; George M. walloped Liz G. within a few moves of their first match so Liz joined in the 2nd Swiss of the evening and redeemed herself by winning that. Meanwhile hubby Andreas powered his way though the 1st Jackpot field and won that. Annette Sutherland is back on form and won the other Swiss.

We had some new players too some of whom played in the tournaments and others who just wanted to play some casual games - no worries - hope to see you again.

Summary:

Lesson learnt - plug the event better next month Mike. This is a wonderful venue, the drinks and food are good and we had our own dedicated member of staff to provide us with table service.

We also had a request for Fevga, Placato and a Gang Tournament to be played here. Why not? If you would like these please let us know
