A cold, biting wind evening in December and player numbers were
not huge but sufficient to get things moving along well for those
present.
The Swiss Tournament was the first to get underway followed by a
£70 entry 8 player affair, a £30 entry and a £10er. 7.20pm and
everybody is backgammon active.
Chrissi is not with us this evening - she stuck somewhere between
Koa Samui and Bangkok airports.
But Simon Morecroft is. It's been a wretched year for him - losses
have just kept on coming his way since BGLIL07. But that's all in
the past now because this evening he won the Swiss and followed
that up with winning Mini-Jackpot 3. And he wasn't our only 2
times winner this evening - Mahmoud Jahanbani Tournament 3 and
Mini-Jackpot 4. Nicky Check, along with Martin Hemming, collected
the Bg in London Main Doubles Shield and Nicky went onto to win
this evening's Tournament 1.
