The London, Liverpool, Manchester and Huddersfield 25pt Inter-Club Knockout
by Irving Czechowicz on DailyGammon

Irving is the ever enthusiastic Cockney from
Manchester that organises backgammon in that part of the world as well as playing in and running tournaments on DailyGammon. This is Irv's latest format - The Inter-Club Knockout.

He put up a post on DailyGammon at 3.00am on Wednesday morning announcing the event and a little over 24 hours later 23 of the 32 seats had been taken. The Bg in London Team was the first to fill up. At the time of writing this Manchester and
Liverpool both have 7 of their 8 players and Huddersfield
are looking for another 4 players.

The format will be a Main, Consolation and Last Chance. Same Club players will be kept apart as much as possible.

DailyGammon is a turned based site - you make your play, come back some hours or days later by which time your opponent has made his/her move and make your next move. What really makes it work well for players is that obvious moves are predicted and are played for you (though you can override these if you wish) by the computer program. It is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE. Players often have 30 or so matches ongoing at any one time. Mostly it's tournament play though some play head to heads. It's free to use (though contributions are gratefully accepted.) The DailyGammon Discussion Board is, generally, excellent.

So who is on the Bg in London Team?

We wish you all luck and fully expect you to do Bg in London proud. Let me see - target please is for a Bg in London player to win the Main, another to win the Consolation and yet another to win the Last Chance. I really don't mind which one of yous wins which. If Bg in London players wish to talk amongst themselves with less chances of peering opponent's eyes please feel free to use the
Bg in London Discussion Board.
