CAMDEN AUCTION
"Entry Fee Auction Tournament"

As a Backgammon Tournament Director faced with many players that wanted to play for different values and match lengths I, Mike Main, came up with the format that is now known as a "Camden Auction."

It has now been listed (by somebody else I hasten to add) on Wikipedia. Does this make it official? I'm not sure - Wikipedia is after all a free resource but it does have a lot of kudos.

The format has another benefit not listed on Wikipedia in that an Auctioneer may charge for running an auction whereas in the UK a T.D. may not charge a rake on tournaments.

Others are welcome to use the format though credit where credit is due would be appreciated.

To run it quickly and efficiently you need the software.
