It’s a nice thought but how can this be achieved? To run a full blown qualifier we would need an entire evening given over to this and this alone. That’s not possible because we just don’t have time to do it before The British Open on 4th, 5th and 6th April which is sponsored by our very own, 40th birthday boy, Nicky Check.
 
On Monday 10th March at Bg in the City we started a 1 pointer (no doubling cube) 32 player Knockout. Entry was £5. Hence £160 has be raised for the winner. This will not make for a full purse for the winner but should go a long way towards their costs of the weekend.  
 
 10 of the 32 seats were sold in The City hence the tournament continued, as planned, on Tuesday 18th March at Bg in Camden.
 
On Tuesday 18th March at Bg in Camden all seats were sold and we are down to just 5 players: Shino, Andreas Vrhovsek, Roxanna, Nicky Check and Graham Read. The Tournament will complete on Monday 1st April at Bg in Camden.
 
 At The British Open itself we will keep in touch with the progress of our qualifier(s) via the Live Biba Updates and the DailyGammon Discussion Board.
