Note on 15th September 2010:
Mike messed up.
There was not the demand for an Auction on the evening of the draw
so Mike scrapped it.
This however did not take into consideration players that were not
present and were entitled to buy back 50% of themselves from their
owners.
Sorry, hands up, I messed up here and
should have conducted an Auction even if for £1 per pairing.
There will be a Calcutta Auction of Pairings (just before the draw
is made) at 8.30pm on Monday 13th September 2010 at Bg in Fulham
There is no limit to the number of Pairings that the players may
bid for
Players may bid for themselves
In a Calcutta Auction players have the right
to buy upwards of 50% of their Pairings from their Owner
until the first checker is moved by the pairing.
Players that cannot be present may bid by telephone
Please arrange to call a player that will be present on their
mobile phone
(No bids will be accepted on Mike Main's phone)
Non-players may also bid, but these must be done in person
The Calcutta Auction will be split:
70% to the Owner of the Winning Pairing of the Main and
30% to the Owner of the Running-up Pairing of the Main
