MIKE'S BLOG AT THE PARTOUCHE RIVIERA AND NATIONS CUP 2008

Sunday am 12th July 2008

Here 1 shall attempt to follow the fortunes of the Bg in London players and other Brits going to the Partouche Riviera and Nations Cup 2008.

I'm there primarily as an Assistant Tournament Director so the views expressed here are likely to the T.D. based. This is not the first time I've worked with the Partouche T.D. Team - we did so successfully at the WSOB UK Masters in November last year. Eric, Nathalie and Hugo know their stuff and I'm there to help where needed.

It's not a bad gig for me in all honesty - flights paid for to and from Cannes, I'll be put up in a 4* Hotel and seeing as it's all taking place in France I requested that my meals should be found too - what's the point of French cuisine if you can't enjoy it while there? So we have a civilised arrangement which sets the tone of the event just nicely that I hope will rub off on others there.

On the down side it means I'll be away from London for about 10 days so there will not be a Bg in London event during that time. But if Bg in London is to be successful I need to be out and about further than just in London Town. Next gig back in London: Bg in Camden Tue 5th August. Then we've a clock play event on the 17th August.

Ok, here we go... leaving Bg in London base camp now...
